12 Sept, 2011: Website still under construction
Introduction
dIRC 7 is written under C# using the .NET 2.0 Framework. When you download and begin to install dIRC7, the installer will check your system configuration to confirm if .NET 2.0 is installed. If it is not, it will then download and install it from the Microsoft website.
dIRC7 is a free IRC Client for the Windows OS. dIRC7 makes using IRC fun with a set of easy to use features and without the bloat of other IRC Clients. Did we mention it's completely free? That's the beauty, you can use dIRC7 for as long as you want and not pay a cent for it. We work on a PayPal donation scheme that if you like the software and wish to see its continued development, we ask you to send a small donation our way.

System Requirements
These need not be overly huge, but the basic requirements below must be met or the program may fail to run properly or if at all
- .NET Framework atleast version 2, or 3.5
- Windows 2k (min.) and supports XP (SP2-3), Vista and Windows 7
- At least a single core 900MHz CPU (core 2 duo, or quad core would be overkill but again would ensure that the client runs smoothly, especially if you do a lot of other things with your PC at the same time
- Atleast 64MB RAM (needed mainly to support the libraries loaded from the framework)
- A graphics card (doesn't need to be overly good, but you need one and must have one or else you wouldn't be reading this!)
- A sound card (any generic or on-board one is fine and most systems come with them now-a-days, anyway)
- 5MB free hard disk space (allow at least 50MB or more if you are going to use chat logging)
Anything more than this is purely overkill for any IRC client but I will say, the more memory you have, the smoother it'll run.
